Charles Edward "Chuck" Healy, Jr

HEALY, Charles "Chuck" E., Jr., age 66, passed away on December 29, 2014. Chuck was born on November 21, 1948 in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Healy, Sr. and Onalea E. (nee Main) Healy. Chuck found his last 4 years working as a Hospice Chaplain, at Gentiva (Odyssey) Hospice, to be very rewarding, working with patients and families at the end of life. He was a blessing to many families. Prior to that, he was the Senior Pastor at the Troy Abundant Life Church in Troy, Ohio and Singles Pastor at the Christian Life Center. Chuck was a well-known potter in the Miami Valley and made beer steins for the Dayton Art Institute Oktoberfest for 10 years. Chuck enjoyed walking on his land in Michigan, cooking, working with wood, and tending his flower and vegetable garden. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Suter) Healy; children, Katharine Healy, Rebekah (husband, Sam and daughter, Trinity) Kidwell, and Elizabeth Healy (fianc, John Couch, and his daughter, Lexie). The funeral service will be at 3pm on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with a visitation to follow until 5:30pm.
