Charles J. Davis

DAVIS, Charles Judson "Chuck", age 85 of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home. He was the owner of Charles Davis Florist and was a nationally recognized floral designer and inventor of floral products. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane in March of 2009, and his parents Anna and Ora Davis. He is survived by his children, Sue (Bud) Davis Lindeman; Tom (Toni) Davis and Christine (Joe) Townsend; grandchildren, Janinne, Shelly, Kristi, Bob, Zac, Corey, Rose, Kelly and Mike; 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Charles served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII for the U. S. Marine Corps and received the Distinguished Flying Cross with one gold star and air medal with nine gold stars. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 12 noon at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Graveside service at Harris Creek Cemetery in Bradford, Ohio at 2:00 PM.
