COOK, Charles Lee, “Charlie” age 60, of Dayton passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center. He was a 1966 graduate of Centerville High School. Charles served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era in 1967-1968. He retired from Veterans Affairs in 1994 and was manager of the Centerville Inn until 2005. Charles was a lifetime member of Amvets Post 33 and the VFW Post 2800. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Clara Cook and his wife, Charlene Cook. Charles is survived by his children, Chad Cook of Davison, MI, Candice Cook and Christopher Cook both of Moraine; sister, Sharon Boudroua of Centerville; brothers, Gail (Sherry) Cook of Waynesville, Larry (Hester) Cook of Franklin and Tommy (Terri) Cook of West Alexandria; 4 nieces; 3 nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the entire medical staff at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for the exceptional care of Charles and his entire family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Rev. Tim Cox officiating. Burial in Heritage Hills Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In memory of Charles, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, National Service Foundation, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 .
