Charles M. Malone

MALONE, Charles M., age 85, of Miamisburg, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on May 17, 1929, in Adams County, OH, to the late Grover and Elizabeth Malone. Charles served in the United States Army Infantry in Korea and retired from General Motors. He was a member of Sugarcreek Presbyterian Church, VFW Post #9925, and the American Legion in Kettering. Charles enjoyed landscaping and was known to have a green thumb. He also loved bowling, golf, and ballroom dancing. Charles was honest, dedicated, and loyal and always put others' needs ahead of his own. He will be missed by all who knew him. Charles is preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna Malone; sons, Mark B. (Diana) Malone and Gregory A. Malone; grandchildren, Alison, Kelsie, Michael, Bradley, and Holly; special nieces and nephews, Linda, David, Michael, Donna, Paul, Phil, Angela, Steven, Tim, and Roger; and a multitude of other family members and friends. Family will greet friends from 6-8 on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd., Kettering. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at Sugarcreek Presbyterian Church, 4417 Bigger Rd, Kettering. Inurnment will follow at David's Cemetery in Kettering, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to Hospice of Dayton or Sugarcreek Presbyterian Church.
