Charles Maeder

MAEDER, Charles E., age 86 of Kettering passed away on Friday, February 17, 2006 at Bethany Lutheran Village. Charles was a lifetime member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church and past member of the Dayton Round Table. After graduating from Fairmont High School in 1937 he attended Sinclair Community College. Charles served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII as a Staff Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his son, R. Scott and daughter, Sandra Lee Maeder. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Betty Maeder; daughter, Susan K. (William) Ahern of Centerville; son, Michael C.( Jan) Maeder, M.D. of Cincinnati; 6 grandchildren, Rob Maeder, Melissa Pedrick, Marc Maeder, Carey Lunne, Chad Ahern, and Michael Ahern; 2 great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Elizabeth; sister, Esthermae Tekamp of Dayton. Private services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Hills United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2287 S. Dixie Dr. Dayton, Ohio 45409. He will always be remembered for his love of family and friends, his easy manor, loyalty, and honesty. Arrangements made by Routsong Funeral Home.
