age 82, of Kettering, passed away Friday, January 26, 2001. He was a graduate of Spring Valley High School and was employed by N.C.R. for 30 years. Charles was a member of Dayton Gem Society, Washington Twp. Square Dance Club 2x4's, active in Boy Scouts of America and very active at Church of the Cross, United Methodist. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna; a daughter, Yvonne Seitner and her husband, Russell of Centerville; 2 sons, John Charles Funk of Kettering and James Funk and his wife, Jennifer of Middletown; 4 grandchildren, Marsha Greene and her husband, Mike, Douglas Seitner and his wife, Deanna, Mike Seitner and Timothy Seitner and his wife, Theresa; 3 great grandchildren, Danielle, Dylan and Taylor; a sister, Cora Brown of Xenia; and a brother, Stanley Funk and his wife, Blanche of Xenia. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, in Church of the Cross United Methodist, 3121 Wilmington Pike, Kettering. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. John C. Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Memorial Fund, Church of the Cross, 3121 Wilmington Pike, Kettering OH 45429.
