age 86, of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 2, 2001. He graduated from Steele High School and Miami University. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as Administrative NCO and played football for the armed services in Holland. Charles retired from NCR as Department Head after 35 years of service and from National City Bank after 18 years as Bank Administrator. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post #598, past president of Dayton Amateur Golf Assn., Miami Valley Officials Assn., Dayton Basketball Assn., former executive director of Dayton District Golf Assn. and a charter member of NCR Country Club where he was on the Board of Directors. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Karen Dissinger of Upper Brookville, Long Island NY; and granddaughter, Kathryn Marie Dissinger. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Dayton, with Rev. Doug DeCelle officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton, Inc., PO Box 3509, Dayton OH 45401-3509.
