JUDY, Charles Richard, age 95, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018. Charles was born on May 7, 1922 to Robert and Nina (Fisher) Judy in Dayton, OH.
He honorably served in the 4th Marine Division during WWII. Charles drove the half-track and safely brought his troops into Roi-Namur, Saipan (where he earned a purple heart), Tinian, and Iwo Jima. After his time in the Marines Charles started working as a molder for Buckeye Iron & Brass, and then transferred to sales. He retired from Yost Superior as a Sales Rep. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 779. Charles enjoyed watching the Reds and Columbus Blue Jackets. He loved to drive and travel, visiting the national parks out west in New Mexico and Arizona.
Charles is survived by his wife of 72 years, Wanda (Troup) Judy; cousins, Eleanor Bennett, Bellbrook, OH, Barbara Parkson, La Vern, CA; sister-in-law, Shirley Gebhart, Centerville, OH.
