CORPUS, Charles William, age 92, of Washington Township, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born on November 29, 1922 in Elizabeth, PA to the late John and Mary Corpus.
Charles served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from Kent State University in 1949 with a degree in business, after which he spent 35 years in sales. Charles never met a stranger, was devoted to his family, and enjoyed dancing with his graceful wife Nancy.
He is preceded in death by his son, James Edward Corpus; 3 sisters; and a brother. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Nancy Corpus; children, Charles (Deborah) and Richard (Julie); daughter-in-law, Deborah Corpus; grandchildren, Andrew, Ivan, Hadley, Lee, Natalie, Robert, Eric, and Mary Grace; great-grandchildren, Parker, Brody, and Hannah; brother, John; sister, Annabelle Algranti; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Elmcroft of Washington Township, Sycamore Glen Health Center, and Hospice of Dayton for the exceptional care they gave to Charles.
Graveside services will be private.
