WRIGHT, Charles Wesley, age 82, passed away Wednesday February 20, 2008. At the time of his death he was a resident of The Ohio Masonic Home, Springfield, Ohio. He was a graduate of Stivers High School and attended the University of Dayton. Charles worked for the Dayton Fire Department for over 28 years and for the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office for over 14 years. He served in the US Marine Corp. in the South Pacific during WWII and also in the Korean Conflict. Charles is a member of the Masonic Order with the following achievements : Past Master Riverview Lodge 717, Charter Member Millennium Lodge 779, Past High Priest Victory Chapter 210, Past Illustrious Master Reese Council 9, Past Commander Reed Commandery 6, Knight of the York Cross of Honor, Honorary 33rd Degree Mason, Valley of Dayton, York Rite Mariners Club of Dayton, Antioch Shrine, Royal Order of Scotland, Past Sovereign Master, Herbert T. Leyland 281, Allied Masonic Degrees. He is also a member of the V.F.W. Post 9582 and American Legion Post 0668. Charles is a published author of the novel, REFLECTIONS IN SMOKE, A FIREFIGHTER'S STORY. Preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Elizabeth Wright; sister, Lillian R. Frantz; brother, O.U. Wright; and his wife, Betty J. Wright. Survived by his daughter, Cheryl W. Walling and her husband, Tommy of Blackshear, Ga; his son, John Wesley Wright, and his wife , Patricia, of Blackshear, Ga; his granddaughter, Kathleen Walling Aldridge(Brad and great granddaughter, Anna-Laine Aldridge) of Blackshear Ga; 3 grandsons, T.J. Walling(Meg) of Blackshear, Ga; Brandon Wesley Wright of Hawaii; and Christopher Williams and his wife, Teresa, of Dayton; 3 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Kathleen E. Fraizer of Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 5-8 pm Friday with Masonic Services at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 32 Degree Learning Center, P. O.
