Charlotte G. Mullins

August 4, 1946 — June 5, 2021

MULLINS, Charlotte Gail (Becraft), age 74, of Dayton passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, while returning from vacation with her dearest friends. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and studied photography at Wright State University. During her career, she was employed at Xerox Corporation in Dayton, Miami Carey Corporation in Monroe, and Valley Sheet Metal in Middletown.

Charlotte devoted much of her time and talent to supporting Dayton Children’s Hospital, donating both her time and other gifts year after year. She served on the Women’s Board from 1985-1991 and the Dayton Children’s Board of Trustees from 1994-2000. As a member of the Women’s Board, she chaired CHA-CHA in 1991, raising enough funds to help pay off the pledge for renovation of the Medical Laboratory. In 1999, she was honored for her service to Dayton Children’s with the Elsie T. Mead award, named after the founder of the Women’s Board. She is one of only three women who have been named as an Honorary Women’s Board Member.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bill, and they shared many adventures while seeing the world, including the renewal of their wedding vows at sunset on the island of Maui in 1999. She acquired many, many friends throughout her life, but most special to her were “The Grad Girls,” who have been together since high school. She was a beloved “Grandy”, aunt, and friend to her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her many friends’ children and grandchildren.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years William (Bill) Mullins, her parents Jim and Rose Becraft, and her brother Jim Becraft. She is survived by her sister, Vicki Becraft; her stepchildren Leslie Mullins, Elise Mullins, and Bill (Karen) Mullins; her grandchildren, Ted and Joe Young and Katie and Bill Mullins; her nieces, Abby (Mike) Anis and Amanda (Dan) Weaver; her nephews, Zeke (Shannon) Irving and Clay Becraft; her great-nephews and niece Jackson, Dylan, and Shelby; and her cousins and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Routsong Funeral Home, followed by burial at Woodland Cemetery.
