Charlotte K. Brunsman

age 87, of Kettering, died peacefully Saturday, January 12, 2002, at the Hospice of Dayton. She was a 1936 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Child Psychology. Charlotte was a member of the University's Alumni Association, The Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and its alumni association, and The Lutheran Church of Our Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and John R. Kundert and by her sister, Berneice K. Schultz. Charlotte was the wife of August E. Brunsman, Jr. of Kettering for 64 years and the mother of August E. Brunsman, III of Columbus, Ohio; John H. Brunsman, DPM of Monroe, Washington; and Caroline B. Schaffer, DVM of Tuskegee, Alabama. Her grandchildren were August E. IV and Angie S. of Columbus, Ohio, and Jake E. and Britten S. of Woodinville, Washington. With her husband, she enjoyed 28 visits to Switzerland. Charlotte also assisted in researching the pre-aeronautical lives of Wilbur and Orville Wright as printers and publishers. She co-authored a widely accepted paper, ''The Other Career of Wilbur and Orville Wright, WRIGHT & WRIGHT, Printers,'' and the digested Minute Book, ''3 Wright Brothers and a Last Man's Club''. Charlotte was active in developing ''The Print Shop'' at Carillon Historical Park and arranged the gift of a quantity of Wright Brothers' printing plates to the park by Ivonette and Harold Miller. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Oakwood, with Rev. Gary Eichhorn officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, in the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Woodland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Print Shop, Carillon Historical Park, 2001 S. Patterson Blvd., Dayton, OH 45420.
