Charlotte Marie Harper

HARPER, Charlotte Marie, (and for a brief time AKA “DJ Charlie Foxxx”) age 56 of Dayton, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Charlotte was born in Clarksville, TN to Charlie Bell and Patricia Dulin, later moving to Louisville where she graduated from Ballard High School in 1985. After graduation, she found her passion in helping anybody in need and eventually found a career as a nursing assistant; her longest place of employment being the Dayton VA Medical Center. She truly loved the work that she did and took great pride in taking good care of people.

At the end of a hard day’s work, Charlotte could be found enjoying an ice-cold brew. She was known to be the life of the party, from karaoke, to playing cards, singing and dancing around the house. Charlotte was too busy to stay in one place for too long. When she wasn’t having a good time at home, she took the party somewhere else. She loved the Bahamas, Mexico, Las Vegas, anywhere with cold beer and warm weather. But her biggest passion in life was being a mother and grandmother. Charlotte’s world was her children; even after her kids grew up she still never wanted them to be too far away, either you came to see her, or she was coming to visit you. Charlotte lived life to the fullest and was never afraid of being herself. We will deeply miss her and the light that she was.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Willis Bell. She is survived by her children, Carmen Lewis, Lorenzo “Man” Harper, Nathaniel “Nate” Harper; mother, Patricia Bell; brothers, Carl Bell Sr, Glenn Bell Sr, Reginald “Reggie” Bell; and countless nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and lots of friends.
