KEPNER, C. Wayne, 94, of The Grand Court, Dayton, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Kettering Medical Center. Mr. Kepner is survived by: his son, Robert W. Kepner, and his wife, Barbara J. Kepner of Plain City, OH and granddaughters, Carrie E. Geygan (Doug) of Hillsboro, OR and Rachel A. Shipp (Adam) of Galloway, OH. He is also survived by sister, Kathleen Mathias, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Louisa M. Kepner; by his parents, Chester and Olive Kepner of Waynesboro, PA; by his brother, Richard W. Kepner, Holly Lake, TX; and by sister, Dorothy Elden, Waynesboro, PA. During WWII Mr. Kepner worked in the machine tool industry developing armaments for the combat effort, and then became a sales management executive with the C. H. Gosiger Machinery Co., Dayton, for more than 25 years. Mr. Kepner was a Mason and a lifelong member of the Antioch Shrine and the Dayton Arabic Club. He and Louisa were members of the Fairmont Presbyterian Church in their early years and Central Presbyterian Church in the latter years of their life. Mr. Kepner also requested recognition for special friend, Dorothy Schindler, deceased, and her family of Dayton, OH who provided many loving kindnesses in the latter stages of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to the National Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Ave, Suite 300 Portland, OR 97223-7195 or online at psoriasis.org in honor of his granddaughters Carrie Geygan and Rachel Shipp. Grave site services will be provided by Routsong Funeral Home, Inc. at 11AM at David’s Cemetery on May 24, 2007 with Reverend David Crapnell officiating.
