Celebration of Life for Christina Louise Helm (Tina)
1959 - 2025
It is with both sorrow and joy that we share the news of Christina Louise Helm, affectionately known as Tina, who will be remembered and celebrated for her vibrant spirit and loving nature. Tina, age 65, of Centerville, Ohio, will be honored at a heartfelt ceremony following her passing on April 12, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona.
Tina, a proud graduate of Alter High School in 1978 and a student with a BA in Communication from the University of Dayton in 1982, was a woman who touched the lives of many. Before embracing her role as a nurturing homemaker and devoted mother, she served as an executive assistant and office manager at G. W. Smith and Sons. Her love for her family was boundless, and she brought joy to all through her passions for gardening, travel, shopping, and her beloved cats, Orville and Wilber.
In celebration of her life, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel. We will share stories, laughter, and fond memories as we honor Tina’s legacy and the love she gave to her husband, Percy R. Helm III, Lt Col, USAF (Ret), her beloved son, Devin C. Black, and her cherished siblings including Robert W. Smith, Victor W. (Alexa) Smith Jr., Mary M. (Michael) Higgins, and Deborah E. Hempel.
Tina is Preceded in death by her father, Victor W. Smith Sr.; mother, Mary Jane Smith; sister, Priscilla Swab; nephews, Joel Summers and Stuart Smith; and brother-in-law, Steven Summers.
Tina leaves behind a colorful tapestry of family, including her sister-in-law, her nieces and nephews - Ryan (Jennifer) Higgins, Kevin (Elyse) Higgins, Victoria Hempel, Logan Smith, and David Summers - who will carry her memory forward.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family consider making donations to the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter in Tucson, AZ, a cause close to Tina's heart. Contributions can be made via their website at hermitagecatshelter.org.
As we prepare to celebrate the incredible life of Christina Helm, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her memory and the warmth that she brought to our lives. Join us as we say our goodbyes, tell our stories, and keep her spirit alive in our hearts.
