Christine H. Yates

age 77, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2004. She retired from General Motors in 1993. Christine was an auxiliary life member of the VFW Post 8312 of Beavercreek and the American Legion. She was also a past member of the Dayton Women’s Bowling Association. Preceded in death by her husband, Dallas P. Yates; son, James A. Jeffers; 2 brothers, Lonnie Strunk and Tommy Strunk; and 2 sisters, Mae Breakall and Aileen Strunk. Survived by son, Michael Yates of Dayton; 2 daughters, Diana (Joseph) Moorman of Kettering and Tracie (Chris) Barrett of Beavercreek; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Glenna Sexton of Oneida, TN and Vina Jeffers of Lewiston, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Pastor Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
