age 79, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2001. He was a graduate of Northridge High School. He retired as a Major from the U.S. Marine Corps., and then later retired as an engineering manager after 42 years with Ohio Bell. Clarence was a member of Oak Creek United Church of Christ, Pioneers of America and volunteered at Kettering Hospital. Preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Alfred C. and Laura O'Diam Ressler. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Marian; 3 sons, Thomas and his wife Patricia Ressler of Los Angeles CA, Dan and his wife, Beth Ressler of Naples FL and Scott Ressler of Centerville; 2 grandsons, David and Eric Ressler; 1 granddaughter, Bethany Ressler; sister-in-law, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Sorenson of Kettering, her children, Lydia, Robert and Randy and their children; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence was a loving father and was well loved by those who knew him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in David's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Creek United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 5280 Bigger Rd., Kettering OH 45440.
