Cleofa Denney

DENNEY, Cleofa A., age 100, of Kettering passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at St. Leonard Health Care Center. Cleofa was born on October 23, 1917 in Kettlersville, OH to Edward G. and Flora A. (Van Denbusch) Nuss. She retired from United Business Services in Dayton as a bookkeeper. During WWII, she worked at Wright Field as a secretary. Cleofa enjoyed reading, watching sports, and her family. Survivors include her son, David Denney; two grandchildren, Jonathan Denney and Sara Denney; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time friend, Ivaline Mammolite. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond L. Denney in 1993; sisters, Enola English, Aurelia Tracy, Hurdulana Snyder; brothers, Amandus Nuss, Marcellus Nuss. Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm on Monday, October 15, 2018, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 12pm.
