Cleopatra E. "Cleo" Stamas

STAMAS, Cleopatra E., “Cleo” age 88 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her children. She was born in New York City, NY. Raised in Minneapolis, MN, she graduated from Central High School. Cleo was a devoted member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She was superintendent of the Sunday School and member of Church Women United and Hellenic PTO. Cleo was a member of the Philoptochos Society and held many offices including President. She retired from Rikes/Lazarus department store as a retail clerk after 32 years and was a member of the Rikes 20 year club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Mary Weimer; sister, Mary and brothers, Nick and George. Cleo is survived by her daughter, Photini (Alex) Fote of Washington Township and their children, Thomas, Charles and Christopher; son, Steve (Debbie) Stamas of Centerville and their children, Lisa, Tricia, Charles, Heather, Hollie and Terry; son, Nick C. Stamas of Dayton and his daughter Emily; son-in-law James Weimer of Centerville and his children Elaine and Erica; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers Peter, Arthur and Clark Smith and sister-in-law Elaine Smith. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton with Father Mark Emroll officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-8:00 PM Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Trisagion Prayers at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH 45405.
