Concetta "Tina" Orlando

ORLANDO, Concetta “Tina”, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Concetta was born on February 13, 1925 in Pretoro, Italy to Angelo and Maria Pietrantonio. She and her family moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1947 and shortly after she met her husband, Gabriel, and was married for 61 years. Concetta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Concetta and Gabriel were parishioners of the Immaculate Conception Church, members of John Pierelli Lodge/Sons of Italy and the Duronia Club. She worked at GH Leland and also was a branch manager for the Dayton Daily News. Most importantly she was always there for her family and put others first before herself. She also had a passion for gardening, cooking, and family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Gabriel; brother, Leon Pietrantonio; sister, Irma Frisby; son-in-law, Gary Roberts; and grandson, Brad Roberts.
Concetta is survived by her children, Anna Maria (Jim) Roberts-Furneisen, Gabriel (Kim) Orlando, Diane (Todd) Brosey, John (Lori) Orlando; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Angelina Manzo; sister-in-law, Angela Pietrantonio; many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Family will greet friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering, OH. Prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Thursday, December 19 at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45420 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45402.
