Connie Sue Reid

REID, Connie Sue, age 73, of Centerville, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born on October 24, 1942 in Dayton to the late Clarence and Mildred Horstman. Connie is a 1960 graduate of Julienne High School. She retired in August, 2008 from the Oberer Corporation after 17 years as a Manager of the Dayton Towers Apartments, a high rise apartment building in the 5th St. area of the Oregon District. She also worked for Pelagetti Candy and J.C. Towers. Since retirement Connie has been a member of the volunteer staff at St. Leonards Faith Community in Centerville, visiting with shut-ins 3 days a week. She was a long-time member of Church of the Incarnation where she was president of the Madonna Guild. Connie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Reid; children, Brian Reid of Columbus and Christine (Dan) Rice of Burlington, KY; granddaughter, Hannah Rice; brother, Clarence A. (Molly) Horstman Jr.; and sister, Patricia (Javier) Castaneda. Family will greet friends from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Leonard and Hospice of Dayton for their dedicated care of Connie.
