DeBOLD, Conrad, age 90, born Oct. 9, 1917 to Frank & Henrietta DeBold in New York, NY, passed away at his residence on Thursday, May 1, 2008. Conrad is preceded in death by; his first wife Virginia (Bateman), his parents, sister; Viola (Mickey) Munday, Conrad is survived by his wife Martha J. DeBold, his son Conrad DeBold of Atlanta, GA, daughter; Celeste Cherol of Warren, OH, and two grandchildren; Virginia Elizabeth Cherol of Boston, MA and Johnathan Conrad Cherol of Hilton Head, SC, step-son; Gregory Creech of Dayton, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Conrad attended the New York University and graduated from Park College, Parkville, MO in 1941, the Washington University School of Medicine in 1943, interned at Fordham Hospital in New York City in 1944, general residency at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs in 1944-45, he was a Captain in the Army Air Corps as a Flight Surgeon in the Medical Corps 1947-48, senior intern in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Louis Maternity Hospital 1947-49, residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH in 1949-50. He had an active practice in Dayton from 1950 until he retired in 1985. He was certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1957. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1955. He is Past President of the Dayton Obstetrics and Gynecology Association. He was Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Good Samaritan Hospital in 1960 and Education Coordinator of that department 1963-64. He was Chief of Staff of Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton in 1968. Currently an Honorary Staff member at Good Samaritan Hospital and Inactive Staff member at Miami Valley Hospital and Courtesy Staff member at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering. He was Chairman of the Medical Advisory Council, Blue Cross of Southwestern Ohio in 1975-76. He is Past President of the Western Ohio Foundation for Medical Care from 1972-1982. He was a member of the F & AM Lodge in New York and Masonic services will be held at 7:30 PM Monday May 5, 2008 at the Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Tuesday, May 6th at the Woodland Mausoleum Chapel at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
