Constance L Zimmer

ZIMMER, Constance L. (nee Melke), of Kettering passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension and began the prayer chain for the church. Connie was a graduate of Julienne High School and a volunteer for the Kettering Police Department. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Flora Melke and brothers, David and Daniel. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James Zimmer; sons, Bradley and Brian (partner, Jeff Trzeciak); daughter, Brenda (Gene) Gibson and Beth (Tim) Cunningham; grandchildren, Tyler and Alex Cunningham; sisters, Sally (Gene) Beare and Jane (Mike) O'Brien. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, April 25, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Ascension with Father Chris Worland officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
