Dale Lewis Mengle

MENGLE, Dale Lewis, age 97, of Kettering, OH, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018. Dale was born to the late Jesse Roy and Mildred Beatrice (nee Smith) Mengle on July 12, 1920 in Morrow, OH. He graduated from Morrow High School in Morrow, OH. Dale served his country in the Army Air Corp. during WWII in the Air Training Command in Kansas and Texas. After the military Dale worked for the George Mengle Company. He later retired from civil service with 30+ years as an Aircraft Mechanic. Dale was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason in Lebanon, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Catherine (nee Doehring); brothers, George Myron and Robert Lee Mengle. He is survived by children, Edward (Pamela) Mengle and Margaret (William) Ritter; grandchildren, Melissa Mengle, Kimberly (Ron Roberts) Mengle and Amber Ritter; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Nolan Mengle and Kobe Roberts. The family will greet friends from 10-11am on Thursday, May 3, 2018 with a funeral service to follow at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH. Burial will be at Davids Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Visiting Angels and Crossroads Hospice for all the wonderful care they gave to Dale.
