PALMERT, Daniel F., of Dayton, passed away February 3, 2013. Born to the late Clarence Palmert and Helen Sprauer on July 29, 1925, Daniel attended Chaminade High School and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science and Master's in Business Administration from University of Dayton. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He spent many years as Registrar at the University of Dayton.
Daniel was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed reading, spending time at the Miami Valley Golf Club swimming pool, and UD basketball.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Julia A. (Raney) Palmert; father, Clarence Palmert and parents, Edward and Helen Malone. Daniel is survived by his children, Milissa (David Bruce) Elsass, Leslie (Ken) Mann, Mark (Sarah Alexander) Palmert; grandchildren, Logan and Bryson Mann; Sasha, Graham and Tessa Palmert.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Friendship Village Community and the caring staff at Grandview Hospital. A memorial mass and celebration of life will follow in the summer.
