Turner, Daniel T., age 90, died March 5th, 2008 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Home, where he was well cared for through a prolonged illness. His young adulthood was spent in Buffalo, N.Y. where he met and married his one and only wife of 67 years, Kathryn Konnert Turner who survives him. After attending the University of Buffalo he began a respected and successful business career in sales with Graybar Electric Co. in Buffalo, Detroit, and St. Louis. Then in Dayton, he was employed by Top Value Enterprises, Inc. where he retired as their Executive Vice President. In his retirement, he was an active volunteer in many community projects, including ten years with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives). His interests included vegetable gardening, golf, horse racing, and wintering in Florida. In addition to his beloved wife Kay, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Kathleen Turner Neiman and Cheryl Turner of Dayton. He was a proud and loving grandfather of Hilary Turner-Woolley and Meredith Turner-Woolley. A funeral ceremony will begin at 3 pm Sunday March 9, 2008, after which the family will receive friends until 5 pm at Routsong Funeral home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. in Kettering. Interment at Woodland Mausoleum will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45410.
