Darrell Thomas Hare

HARE, Darrell T., age 79 of Miami Twp., passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his twin brother Dale; and his big brother John. Darrell is survived by his son Randy; daughter Cynthia Wilson; granddaughter Brittany (Rick) Haacke; son Tim and daughter-in-law Amy; and grandchildren Adam and Emily Hare; nephew Dale W. Hare, Jr. and family; as well as his long time friend Wendell L. Larson. A native of Piqua, Ohio, Darrell graduated from Stivers High School in 1948, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and wrote a syndicated column published in service newspapers throughout the Strategic Air Command. For the next 37 years, he served in a creative and executive capacity for Yeck Brothers Company in Dayton, earning countless local, regional and national awards for his work. After retirement, Darrell wrote the inspirational novel entitled "RAMARThe Rabbit With Rainbow Wings" which has been translated in ten languages and sold in Europe, South America and the Far East. Darrell recently published his second book, "Father, Do You Hear Me?" Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 PM. Entombment will be in David's Cemetery and Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 40 S.
