David C. Bohlander

BOHLANDER, David C., age 77 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at MVH South. He was born May 14, 1938 in Piqua, Ohio. David was the son of Margaret (Simes) and Clarence Bohlander. He married Mildred (Brush) on November 6, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio. He was employed at General Motors (Delco) for 30 years as an engineer. He was a graduate of Sinclair College, the University of Dayton and G.M.I. (now Kettering University). Dave was a member of Lambda Tau Sigma Fraternity, was an amateur radio operator (KA8RIO), member of the Dayton Amateur Radio Club and many years a volunteer for the Dayton HamVention. He was also a member of the Wireless Century 25 year Club, SAR Jonathan Chapter and the Mo. Co. Geneology Assn. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nancy Wall and brother, Alan. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Millie); son, David Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike Gard; granddaughters, Jennafer and Anna Hesseman; grandson, Michael Gard; step-grandson, James Gard; step-great-grandson, Joshua Gard; brother, Thomas; sister-in-law, Janet Myers; along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W. Whipp Rd, Dayton, OH 45459. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am Monday, August 31, 2015 also at Routsong Funeral Home followed by a burial at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
