age 64, of Springboro, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2005. He was a 1958 graduate of West Carrollton High School. David was a 37 year veteran with the Dayton Police Department. He was a member of the Dayton Hostage Negotiation Team, Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, President of Survivewise, an organization that trains companies on how to survive in crisis situations such as workplace violence. David was a de-briefer at Ground Zero and a member of FOP Lodge #44. Preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Rosemary Michael. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandy; two sons, Scott (Kathy) and their children, Gabe, Kyle and Joel Michael; Jeff (Kim) and their children, Garrett and Griffin Michael; daughter, Kelli (Brian) Daugherty and their children, Sam and Kate and one grandchild on the way; brother, Dennis (Barb) Michael; and many other friends and family who will greatly miss David. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Chaplain Tom Meyer officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A Special Wish Foundation, 436 Valley St. Dayton, OH 45404.
