David C. Strayer

STRAYER, David C., age 70, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born on October 20, 1953, to George and Mary Lou Strayer, in Dayton, OH. Dave graduated from West Carrollton High School before attending General Motors Institute (now Kettering University, later graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S in Civil Engineering. Dave worked for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, and later consulted on numerous environmental projects. Throughout his life Dave was devoted to his family and spent many years taking care of his beloved Mother, Mary Lou. He will always be remembered for his loving and selfless ways. 

He is preceded in death by his father, George Strayer; and stepfather, John Hiatt. 

He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Hiatt; brother Steven (Beth) Strayer; nephews, Shawn Strayer, Eric Pietrzak, Joel Strayer, and Lauren Strayer; and other extended family and friends.
