David Wood Folkerth

FOLKERTH, David Wood, age 59, of Oakwood, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. David was born January 23, 1961 to John and Carolyn (Wood) Folkerth.

A graduate of Oakwood High School in 1979, he went on to attend Wright State University. David worked as a demonstrator for Shopsmith for over 30 years, and was a member of Southbrook Church. An outdoorsman, he loved to go camping, biking, and boating. As an active member of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, David had a passion for scuba diving. He also enjoyed fishing bass and puffer fish, and watching the occasional episode of Survivor. David is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Ally; son, Edward; brothers, John (Karen), and Bob (Robin); and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial services will be held Saturday, September 26 at 1:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Family will greet friends following the service by invitation of the family.
