Dena Mae Noakes

NOAKES, Dena Mae, age 89, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Dena was born to the late Clarence R. and Melona L. (nee Bennett) Moody on April 10, 1929 in Stark, KS.

She graduated high school in Erie, KS and worked as a legal secretary for the Neosho County Abstract. Dena was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church since 1963, and served as a Deacon and Elder. She was also a member of the Centerville Womans Civic Club (CWCC) and Professional Educators Organization (PEO). Dena was an avid bridge player and loved working in her flower garden. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Dena is preceded in death by her brothers, Dwight and Donald Moody. She is survived by her husband, Merle E. Noakes; son, Michael (Patricia) Noakes; daughter, Cathy (James) Herridge; grandchildren, Mary, Amy, Sara, and Emily; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will greet friends from 1-2pm on Friday, November 2nd at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, OH 45459 with a funeral service to follow at the church. Burial at Davids Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dena to Southminster Presbyterian Church.
