Dennis G. Schwarztrauber

SCHWARZTRAUBER, Dennis G., age 65 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the James Cancer Center at OSU Medical Center. Dennis was born in Susquehanna, PA on August 13, 1945. He graduated from Blue Ridge High School in New Milford, PA in 1963 and received his Associates Degree from Broome Tech in Binghamton, NY in 1972. Dennis lived in Eastern PA until 1975, Erie PA until 1995 and then moved to the Dayton area where he remained. Dennis worked for General Electric Aviation for nearly 30 years. He loved nature, camping, baseball, gadgets, animals and spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter T. and Ann E. (Praefke) Schwarztrauber. Dennis is survived by his wife, Patti Replogle Schwarztrauber; children, Erica Schwarztrauber Powers of Columbus and Kurt Schwarztrauber of Dayton; siblings, Gary Schwarztrauber of Richmond, VA, Sally (Stan) Carvin of New Milford, PA, Lee Schwarztrauber of Roanoke, VA, and Walt (Alice) Schwarztrauber of Girard, PA; special cousins, Fred (Joan) Schwarztrauber and Dick (Carol) Baker; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends and his loving canine companion "Maggie". A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 5:30pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH with a visitation to follow until 8:30pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Artemis Center, the James Cancer Center at OSU or charity of choice.
