DOTSON, Dewey D., age 73, of Centerville passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004 at Kettering Medical Center. Dewey was a member of Washington Heights Baptist Church and served in the Army during the Korean War. Dewey attended Sinclair Community College for two years. Sales being a large part of his life, Dewey was previously the owner of Custom Sash and Door and a sales manager of Nu-Sash. He was proficient in woodworking, fishing and an avid lover of flying, where he was part owner of a Rockwell Airplane, flying for over 6 years. Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Peggy Dotson, brothers, Emerald and Henry and sister Myrtle. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Anita Dotson; step-daughter, Tammy (Tom) Merritt of Tipp City, step-son, Tom (Nichole) Miller of Beavercreek; 3 sons, Jim Dotson of WI, Douglas (Julie) Dotson of Marietta, OH and Joseph (Debbie) Dotson also of WI; 9 grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Hannah, Kevin, Ryan, Sean, Eric, Randy and Jeremy; 3 brothers, Robert (Delphine), Alva (Vonda) and Jesse (Carol) Dewey, all of Cleveland, OH; 4 sisters, Bonne (John) Evans, Alma (Biford) Green, Betty Z. Ketchum, all of Columbus, OH, and Fern Reed of Marietta, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, at 6:30 PM, April 28, 2004 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Pastor David Kisner officiating. A reception for friends and family will follow the service at the funeral home.
