OSBORNE, Dolores Raye, age 80, of Oakwood, born and raised in Cannel City, KY passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2011.
She graduated from Cannel City High School in Kentucky. While growing up, Dolores attended First Church of God in Cannel City and after moving to Oakwood she began attending Oakwood United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, including places like Europe, New England, Arizona, and New York. Dolores was a lively, fun loving lady who enjoyed knitting, quilting, bowling, painting, and playing bridge along with other card games.
She worked at WPAFB as a computer programmer and analyst for 30 years and received a number of awards for her outstanding job performance. After she retired she worked as a consultant for Martin Marietta and Soft Tec.
Preceded in death by her husband, a US Army Veteran, Fred Leo Osborne; parents, Miles and Elizabeth Ferguson; sisters, Lena and Charles Briscoe and Melovee Grant; and niece, Debbie McGinnis. She is survived by sister, Wanda Lacy; brother-in-law, Eugene Osborne and his wife; sister-in-law, Joyce (Russ) Long; nieces, Donna (Russ) Rike, Linda Sprouse, Sharon (Larry) Sears, Betty Dieckman; nephews, and Lloyd (Peggy) Lacy; great-nieces, Jessica Lacy, Elizabeth Sprouse, Tracy (Mick) Hiett, Amber Sears, Kelley Teagarden, Michelle Armstrong; great-nephews, Todd Lacy, Adam Sprouse, Jeffery Morgan, Jeff (Estela) Rike, Chad Sears, Mark Teagarden and his wife, and Greg Teagarden, his wife; great-great nieces and nephews, Justin, Jasmine, Julliette, and Jayden Rike, Lena Sears, Russ and Claire Hiett. She is also survived by numerous other loving family members.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00PM on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Services will be at 11:00AM on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the funeral home.
