Donald Carl Beddies, Sr.

BEDDIES, Donald Carl Sr., age 90, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Donald was born to the late Otto and Emma Beddies on October 20, 1927. He was a lifelong resident of Dayton and proudly served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. Donald retired from Meadow Gold Dairy after 35 dedicated years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dixie; son, Rex Eugene; granddaughter, Joanne Beddies Cassady; his parents; and sisters, Winifred, Evelyn, and Thanet. Donald is survived by his sons, Donald C. (Lynda) Beddies, Jr., Glen O. Beddies, Sr., and Larry Lee (Cheri) Beddies; grandsons, Douglas (Christine) Beddies, Shawn (Heather) Beddies and Glen (Garietta) Beddies, Jr.; granddaughters, Tammy Beddies and Kristina (Greg) Speidel; 14 great-grandchildren; his very special niece, Roxanne (Wesley) Rouch; and many other nieces, nephews, beloved family members and good friends. Family will greet friends from 10:30-11:30am on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, OH 45459.
