Donald E. Frisby

FRISBY, Donald Edward, took his last breath the morning of Monday, December 5, 2016 at Brookdale Far Hills Memory Care Unit in Oakwood. Born near Jackson, OH on March 26, 1928, he was 88 years young. Many family and friends celebrate his abundant life. Upon completion of grade school, Don's family moved to Sabina, OH. He proudly marched in the high school band and held many part-time jobs that sparked his interest in business. After high school graduation, he spent two years at Fort Knox, followed by two years attending the Ohio State University. Don was the extremely accomplished business owner of Car Dealer Supply in Centerville, OH. He was a member of the Sabina Masonic Lodge #0324, F&AM, A.A.S.R., Antioch Shrine Club of Dayton. The light of Don's life was his wife of 24 years, Irma Frisby. Together, they enjoyed traveling, playing in bocce tournaments at the Italian Club and going on excursions with the Corvette Club. He is preceded in death by his mother Edna M. Frisby and his father John J. Frisby, and his first wife June Bandy Frisby. Don is survived by his wife, Irma Frisby and her children and grandchildren, Nick D'Amico (Jean D'Amico) and son Brent; Joe D'Amico (Diana D'Amico) and son Brian and daughter Staci; Deb Brown (Kent Brown) and daughters, Kristen and Leslie; Dave D'Amico (Peggy D'Amico) and son, Anthony; his sisters Carol Wilson and Joan Pollard; niece, Lori Whipple (Roy Whipple) and children Clay, Caylee and Carly; niece Janis Wellmeier (Dean Wellmeier) and daughter, Nicki; nephew Greg Pollard (Kim Pollard) and children Jacquelin, Joeseph, and Jenny, in addition to other family and friends. A memorial service to honor Don's life will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road in Kettering, OH. The family will greet friends following the service until 11:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of St. Leonard's, Brookdale and Hospice for the extended care given to Don.
