Donald Eugene Allen

ALLEN, Donald E., age 52 of Dayton, died Saturday, February 23, 2002. He was a member of Eagles Lodge #321 (Beavercreek), the Farm Bureau Association, Home Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau. Donald was the owner for the past 25 years of Allen Home Improvement, where Mr. Allen ran an honest and dedicated business. Mr. Allen would like to thank those loyal customers over the past several years. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert & Marian Allen. Donald is survived by his twin brother, Ronald Allen and his wife, Tonya of Dayton; 1 sister, Judy Bierley and her husband Robert of Riverside; his niece Gianna Bierley and nephew, John Bierley both of Riverside; step-mother, JoAnn Allen of Kettering; step-sister, Linda Smith and husband Larry of Xenia, aunts, uncles and several cousins. Don fought a courageous battle with cancer for 1 year and he had a lot of support from friends and family. Special thanks to, Billy Joe Deck, Ron Day, Bob Thade, Minnie Tipton, Mrs. Wells, Tammy Hilander, Gale and Connie Haley and Rodney Fruehauf. Don's love for art work and sports, whether it was watching on TV, going to his nephews games or sponsoring little leagues, Don will be missed by his family and friends forever. He would encourage you to celebrate life with others as well as yourself. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1st, at 11:00 AM at Normandy United Methodist Church, 4450 W. Alex-Bell Rd. Rev. Tom Harry officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St. Centerville. Burial in David's Cemetery.
