Donald G. Wilson

WILSON, Donald G. “Don”, age 67, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. Don was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Humboldt, TN where he was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He attended The University of Tennessee. Don was a veteran of the US Marine Corp., member of Amvets Post 99, the American Legion Post 598, the FOE 3958 and the Elks #58. He was employed by Schering-Plough in Memphis, TN in 1958 and transferred to DAP, INC. in Dayton in 1971. He retired in 1995 from DAP, Inc. after 24 years of service as plant manager and was previously the Director and Vice President of Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Wilson. Don is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marcella (Marcy); 2 daughters, Lisa Wilson of Kettering and Shay Wilson Hurst of Springboro; 1 son, Woody (Monica) Wilson of San Diego, CA; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Dicus, Michael and Stephanie Hurst and Ashley Wilson; mother, Leona (Fields) Wilson of Humboldt, TN; sister, Rita (Peter) Wilson Howard of Humboldt, TN and brother, Dana (Debi) Wilson of Panama City, FL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 30 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Harvey Smith officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
