WEAVER, Donald “Bucky”, age 78, of Centerville passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Friday, September 16, 2005. Bucky was a longtime member of the of the Incarnation Catholic Church. He was a volunteer in the Pastoral Care Department at St. Elizabeth’s for over 25 years. Bucky’s whole life was his family and his Catholic faith. Bucky was a 1945 graduate of Chaminade High school, where he later became a teacher and a coach. He was a 1951 graduate of UD and played for the UD Flyer football team. He was a veteran of WWII in the 11th Airborne Division. Bucky worked most of his life in sales at VJ McGranahan (a Zenith distributor) where he retired in 1995. Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Therese Weaver-Schreck in 1996; parents, Louis and Lucy Weaver; brother, Joseph Weaver and sisters, Mary Meiring and Rita Oliveros. He is survived by his wife Jean, of 53 years; son, Doug (Chris) Weaver; daughter, Cindy (Paul) Young; grandchildren, Melissa, David, Eric, and Laura Weaver, and Patrick, Philip, Daniel, John Michael and Luke Young; sister, Peg Hinders; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 2-5:00PM on Sunday, September 18, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main., Centerville, and they will pray the Rosary at 4:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Legionaries of Christ, 2592 Spalding Dr., Atlanta, GA 30350.
