MOYER, Donald P., age 72, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 24, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton, following a lengthy illness of pancreatic cancer. He was a 1949 graduate of Roosevelt High School and received an honorable discharge from the Naval Reserves. Donald spent his entire career in Ohio power plants. He retired from NCR after 24 years and was a former employee of Chrysler and Montgomery County. Donald was an employee of Delphi at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey A. Moyer of Melbourne, FL. Donald is survived by his lovely wife of 50 years, Barbara J. Moyer of Beavercreek; son, Douglas (Judy) Moyer of Mansfield, OH; daughter, Deborah (Timothy) Reid of Onsted, MI; mother, Mary Jane Moyer of Melbourne, FL; mother-in-law, Edith Werts of Dayton, OH; brother, Ronald (Betty) Guthrie of Geneva, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Moyer) & Brian Thomas, Christine (Moyer) & Anthony Miller, Lisa and Nicky Moyer, Sylvia Kunkleman; 2 step grandchildren Heather and Patrick Reid; and 3 great grandchildren, Brittany and Kaitlyn Thomas and Dakota Miller. He will be missed by his constant companion, his pet dog, Cindy and all those that knew him. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH with Pastor Lowell Ford officiating. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper so you’ll hear.
