SEIFFERTH, Donald Wilmer, age 80, of Washington Township passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014.
Don was born in Belleville, Illinois on July 11, 1933, to Emmet M. and Myrna A. (Liebig) Seifferth. He was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, class of 1955, where he was a star wheelchair basketball player, one of the "Gizz Kids".
A member of Prince of Peace Church, he served as auditor for many years. He was also an accountant and Board Member of the Siena Nursing Home. Don retired from Inland Division of General Motors after 32 years in finance and accounting where he was administrator of all departments including their consolidation of the Fisher Body Plants.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Muskopf of Columbia, MO and brother, Emmet J. Seifferth (Kathleen) of Belleville, IL and his loving wife of 56 years, Marcia A. (Siler). He was a loving father to daughter Susan Farnell of Cincinnati and sons Todd A. (Lucy) of Franklin, TN and Brian S. (Joanne) of Dublin, OH. The pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren: Emily Farnell, Samantha, Ellie, Savannah, Amanda, Daniel, Eli and Jessica Seifferth.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:30 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, 800 E. David Road, Kettering with Pastor Larry Tyner officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery.
