FANGER, Donald W., age 92, of Centerville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22, 2019. Donald was born on January 20, 1927 in Saginaw, MI to Walter and Beatrice Fanger. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War, and was a proud member of American Legion #598 in Kettering. Donald married the love of his life, Betty, on Valentine’s Day in 1948. They moved to the Dayton area in 1965 and became active members of the Centerville Community. Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Betty E in 2018 and son, Terry Fanger 2016. He is survived by his daughters Kay (Rich) Hoeferkamp and Joy (Denver) Hoskins; daughter-in-law, Janet Fanger; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, 45429. A service will be held the following day at 11:00am at Concordia Lutheran Church, 250 Peach Orchard Ave, Oakwood 45419, with a viewing held an hour prior. Burial at David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420 or Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141.
