HOHLER, Donald W., age 81, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Donald graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton, attended Syracuse University and graduated from the University of Dayton with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. He retired in December 1982 after 21 years of service as Contract Manager for Monsanto Research Corporation, Mound Lab in Miamisburg. Donald was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was past president of the Kettering Optimist Club and life member of Optimist International, past board member for the Dayton YMCA, Camp Kern Branch and past member of Administrative Management Society. Donald served over three years in the Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray L. and Elizabeth (Brentlinger) Hohler. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Patricia A. Hohler; daughter, Lisa A. Hohler of Centerville; son, Thomas R. Hohler and wife, Melissa M. Hohler of Kettering; grandchildren, Andrew and Nicole Hohler; brother, Richard H. Hohler of Mason, OH; and sister, Ruth E. Kelly of Cedar Falls, IA. Funeral services will be held, Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, Rev. Paul Stuckey officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 40 S. Perry St. Ste 120, Dayton, OH 45402-1429. Condolences may be sent via the website at www.routsong.com.
