Donna Kaye Rogers

ROGERS, Donna Kaye, age 65, of Centerville passed away at Hospice of Butler and Warren County on Monday, January 30, 2012. Donna grew up in rural southern Indiana near Tell City. She graduated from Tell City High School and from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville, IN. She was an outstanding nurse whose warmth and compassion touched all of her patients and their families, especially at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Neonatal Cardiac ICU. Donna was an accomplished artist who won numerous awards for her unique and exciting paintings. She was a member of the American Impressionist Society and the Ohio Watercolor Society. She was also a founding member of the Town and Country Fine Arts Gallery in Kettering. Donna was a devoted mother and friend whose memory and grace will live on in her loved ones heart's forever. Preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Emogene; sister, Brenda Vincent; her god-daughter, Julie Carter; and her beloved son, Christopher Rogers. Donna is survived by her daughter, Angela Rogers and very special friend Nestor Fernandez; brothers, Rick, Gary, and Steve Cassidy; and her cousin, Jenny Martin. She is also survived by her former husband, Dr. William E. Rogers. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 81 N. Main Street, Centerville. Family will greet friends after the service until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Donna's family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Hospice of Dayton.
