Donna Weeks Landis

LANDIS, Donna Weeks, age 84, long time resident of Dayton, OH, passed away on May 4, 2011 at Maples Nursing Center in Wrentham Mass. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert G. Landis and an infant son, Herbert "Scott" Landis. Born August 17, 1926 in Montgomery County to the late Earl and Sylvia Weeks, she graduated from Lost Creek High School, Casstown, OH and Ohio State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics. In addition to her being a homemaker, she was employed as a home economist at the Frigidare Appliance Demonstration Kitchen and acted in a secretarial role for her husband. Prior to retirement she worked in marketing at St. Leonard Center. She was a long time member of the Dayton Woman's Club, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and Normandy United Methodist Church. Donna enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing bridge with her many friends. Donna is survived by daughters, Susan (Richard) Dane and Nancy (Allan) Girvin; grandchildren, Amy (Gregg ) Damiano, Megan and Mathew Girvin. She is survived by a brother James (Barbara) Weeks and a sister Beverly (Allen) Wagner. She was the sister of the late Gerald Weeks, Marilyn Hoes and Gene Weeks. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm � 8:00pm on Sunday, May 8th at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, OH and Monday from 10:00am-11:00am with service to follow also at the funeral home.
