Doris M. Beck

age 81, of Centerville passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Southview Hospital. Doris was an award winning artist and an active member in the Dayton Tri-Art Association. Doris participated in Tri-Tea, Dayton Junior League and The League of Women Voters. She was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and was a long standing member of the Theta Presby group, where she gathered lifelong friendships. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Beck Jr. in February 2003. Doris is survived by her 2 sons, John (Bridget) Beck and Dan (Kathy) Beck; daughter, Laurie (Jeff) Hyatt. Bringing joy to her life were her 8 loving grandchildren, Adam, Jay, Brent, Kelly, Jenny, Brian, Casey and Ali; brother-in-law, Robert (Ellen) Beck;2 nieces, Jane Klieve and Margaret Neff; and nephew Matthew Beck. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 PM at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 1:30 to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. In memory of Doris, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O.
