Dorothea Martha Landis

LANDIS, Dorothea Martha (Leinroth), passed away on her birthday, July 8, 2015 at the age of 97. Born in Utica, New York in 1918 and grew up in Montclair, NJ where she was a member of the Junior League, Garden Club and Montclair Golf Club. She was a graduate of Smith College and attended New York School of Interior Design. She began her own design company in 1968 and retired from the business upon moving to Dayton in 1978 to marry Robert K Landis. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert K Landis, her parents-Jean Paul and Marguerite Preston Leinroth, her brother Jean Paul Leinroth Jr and his wife Louise. She is survived by her son, Lubin Palmer III (Spain), nephews, Peter (NY) and Timothy (MA) Leinroth, niece, Martha Leinroth (NY), two great nieces Alexandra (NY) and Abigail (NY) Leinroth and good friend Kathy Tomasiak. A special thank you to her long-time caregivers Freida Butler and Rita Pickens. At a later date, a memorial service will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
