Dorothy Ann Regan

REGAN, Dorothy Ann Minneman, age 92, passed away at 10 Wilmington Place, formerly of Oakwood, on October 20, after a long and joyous life as a loving wife, mother of four, and grandmother of seven.

Born in 1926 to Chet Minneman, Sr., and Margaret, she attended grade school at Corpus Christi, graduated from Julienne High School (1944), and Miami University (1950). Her working career included journalism and publishing jobs in Florida, and locally at the Dayton Journal Herald, Manage Magazine, WHIO Radio, and Profit Parade for the plumbing industry. She married the love of her life, Ed Regan, in 1954. Ed passed away in 2017.

Dot and Ed are survived by their four loving children and seven grandchildren: Peg (Jim Brooks, Colleen, Carmen), Kathleen (Joe Zehenny, Cassie), Molly (Jim Barber, Andrew & Maureen, Lindsay), and Tim (Colin, Grace). Dot is preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers--Chet, Jr., Bill, and Bob (Pat). She actively participated in local community organizations, including Reach for Recovery (supporting breast cancer survivors), TWIGS (supporting Childrens Hospital) and was a dedicated poll worker on voting day.

Dot was an active member of Holy Angels Catholic parish for 40 years and served there as a Eucharistic minister. Dot and Ed loved to travel around the United States as well as to foreign countries such as Ireland, France and Egypt. Many thanks to the staff of 10 Wilmington Place for their care and concern for both Dot and Ed for the past five years.

Dots family will receive friends at Routsong Funeral Home 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering,OH 45429 on Wednesday, October 24, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 1322 Brown Street, Dayton, OH 45409.
