BALL, Dorothy E., (“Bunny”) age 97, of Kettering passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. Bunny was born to Clinton and Florence BonDurant in 1907 in Plymouth, IN. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Tri Kappa State Sorority and the Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth, Indiana. After growing up she graduated from St. Mary’s College at Notre Dame, IN. For seven years she taught first grade with forty students in each class during depression years. Bunny was a real Notre Dame Fan, where her husband, Gerry Ball attended. She never missed a game on T.V. and didn’t want to be bothered when she had the game on. In 1937 she married Gerald Ball who preceded her in death in 1988; also her sister, Helen Keyser in 1990 and nephew-in-law, Don Peirce. She moved to Dayton, OH in 1992 to be near her niece’s family, Mrs. James Custer. Bunny is survived by her 2 nieces, Pat and husband, Jim Custer, and Betty Peirce of CA; 2 great nieces; Deborah and husband, Kenny Lakins and Cathy and husband, Don Morter; 1 great-nephew, Doug Peirce; 4 great-great nieces, Jessie, Tessa, Jill and Cory; and nephew, James L. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oakhill Cemetery Chapel in Plymouth, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ancilla College, P.O. Box 1, Donaldson, IN 46513, or your favorite charity in Bunny’s memory. Condolences may be sent to the family via the Routsong Funeral Home website at www.routsong.com.
